Environmental Education Adventures
WindReach offers four exciting Environmental Education Adventure options designed to immerse children in hands-on learning and discovery.
All Environmental Education Tours can be scheduled during weekdays only. Best days are on Tuesdays and Fridays.
1. Animal Encounter
Have you ever wondered what makes a donkey different to a horse? Do you know what a fluffle is? How would you prepare breakfast for a sheep? Come to WindReach to find the answers. Meet our therapy animals, experience their habitats, their funny behaviours and get up close and personal if you (and they) feel comfortable!
2. Woodlands Adventure
Trees, Trails and… Tree Trunks! Logs, Limbs and… Big Jumps! From Tinctures and Teas to Art Projects with Leaves, come join us on our Woodland Adventure … please!
WindReach invites you on an Environmental Education Adventure hike through our woodlands. We’ll learn about the different types of trees and their uses, listen for different animal sounds and look carefully for ancient historical monuments. We will encounter and overcome natural obstacles and may even get lost for a little bit!
3. Our Senses
Join us for a walk through our Sensory Trail and enjoy some unusual sight, sound and taste experiences. WindReach outdoors not only stimulates our senses by exposing us to natural light, fresh air and a wide variety of colour, texture, smells and sounds! Being in nature can also reduce stress, improve concentration and enhance creativity in ways not possible in indoor environments!
4. SuperSoil!
Is soil alive? What do you think? How can you tell? Explore, discover, experiment with soil and learn about its complexities and its importance for our world. What is the obsession with mud?! Come and see! Just add water and play in our mud kitchen. Get dirty! You can ALWAYS get clean again!
And we also offer Environmental Art (On scheduled days throughout the year)
Inspiration is all around us from colour, texture and light to sounds smells and weather. Learn to use these inspirations in different ways. Add a little imagination and you will create fantastical, unique art! Whether it is the process you enjoy most or your end product, the natural environment has creative scope as wide as En Plein Air to forming Fairy Gardens. Come and make with us. Yes. You CAN create art!

• Tour Capacity: 8 child minimum / 30 child maximum (split into two groups);
• Playground Capacity: Up to 75 children
• Cost per Child (Playground Only): $10
• Cost per Child (Tour + Playground): $15
• NOTE: Tours are only held during weekdays and are based on availability
