Outdoor activity is a key component of WindReach’s programmes and so our gardens are an integral part of this.  Generously supported by donor, Chubb, through our Life Skills Programme, we have a large number of beds which our participants help us to maintain.  Plants, herbs and crops are planted according to the seasons and produce is always shared with participants who often grew them from seed.

We are fortunate to have an Agronomist, Omari Dill our Environmental Education Coordinator to assist us in managing our gardens.  They ensure that gardening is not just a fun activity but create an understanding that it is also yet another tool to meet the diverse needs and goals of our participants.
